Quad 14-bit, 125Msps µmodule ADC from Linear with integrated signal conditioning

Linear Technology has introduced the LTM9012 quad 14-bit, 125Msps µmodule analog to digital converter (ADC) with integrated fixed gain drivers, passive filtering and bypass capacitance.

The integrated µmodule converters reduce board space for high channel count applications.
Integrating the driver with the ADC simplifies high-speed design. The LTM9012 amplifiers accommodate the single-ended CMOS sensor outputs and translate these levels to differential for the ADC to maximize dynamic range.

The LTM9012 can be used for digitizing high-speed digital signals in imaging applications and in baseband receiver applications.

Features of LTM9012
1. Fully integrated 4-channel digitizer
2. 14-bit, 125Msps low power ADC
3. Operates on 1.8V for the ADC core and 3.3V for the amplifiers
4. Fixed gain, differential ADC drivers with gain: 10V/V or 20dB
5. Signal to noise ratio (SNR): 68.3dB
6. Spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR): 78dB
7. Power consumption: 318mW per channel
8. Package: 15x11.25 mm BGA µmodule

The LTM9012-AB is available in production volumes and is priced at $149.00 each in 1,000 piece quantities.
