Wideband power amp MMIC from GigOptix in QFN package for mil/aerospace

GigOptix, Inc has started engineering sampling of its wideband power amplifier EXH2009 in a surface mountable QFN package. This monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) is used in military electronic warfare, radar, test & measurement equipment and broadband telecom equipment applications.

Features of EXH2009 power amplifier:

1. Wideband performance from DC to 26.5 GHz
2. Typical drain voltages of +8 VDC with supply current of 600 mA
3. Delivers up to 29 dBm typical Psat
4. Power dissipation of 4.8W
5. Gain up to 20dB across band with a gain flatness of ±1 dB
6. Internally matched 50 Ohms RF input and output
7. On-chip input and output DC block capacitors
8. Surface mountable 7x7mm QFN package
