Mask Type Voice MCU from Holtek with 8M bits of Voice ROM

Holtek has released its new HT83B60 Mask Type Voice MCU which includes an integrated 8M bits of Voice ROM. Holtek says its customers can still easily implement program development and validation using the HT83F02 development environment, after which they can use the HT83B60 device without requiring source code modifications.

In addition to an internal HOLTEK 8-bit embedded microcontroller, the HT83B60 also includes a Mask Program Memory, a Voice ROM, high speed SPI and I2C interfaces, a monophonic 12-bit voltage type DAC and a PWM driver which can directly drive 8 or 16 ohm speakers. The benefits of this IC includes less external components and high noise immunity and a wide operating temperature of -40°C~+85°C.

The application suggested include home security products, anti-theft equipment, healthcare products and other voice applications.
