CCD surveillance camera chipset from Holtek

Holtek has released its new CCD surveillance camera processor; the HT82V863R is supplied in a compact 64-pin LQFP package type. In addition to its original high-precision CCD timing generator, digital lock loop, TV encoder, video D/A converter, video amplifier, 1.8V regulator and LVR/POR circuits provides quality performance in areas such as low-luminance, color and noise processing than its predecessor, the HT82V862R, says Holtek. The HT82V863R offers digital WDR, automatic back light compensation and digital line-lock functions to suit various customer requirements.

Holtek says that the HT82V863R and the HT82V846 CCD camera analog signal processor when used together with the HT82V805A CCD vertical driver operate as a complete surveillance camera chipset. All setup values, parking line and OSD menu can be saved to an external HT24LCxx EEPROM and supports SONY, SHARP and other NTSC/PAL interlace Ye/Mg/Cy/G Complementary Color Mosaic Filter CCD sensors and provides various adjustable functions such as auto exposure, auto white balance, backlight compensation, high light suppression, contrast, saturation, brightness, color gain and color phase, explains Holtek.

To use the device in applications such as IP cameras and DVRs, Holtek suggests its customers can chose the standard CCIR656 digital output 80-pin LQFP HT82V863R to operate directly with the backend processor for further cost reductions.
