3.6 KV rated dual thyristor and diode module form IXYS

IXYS Corporation has announced that its wholly owned UK subsidiary, Westcode Semiconductors Limited, has extended the voltage range of its IXYS branded isolated base, pressure contact dual thyristor and diode module range to 3.6KV.
These are available in three configurations of dual thyristor,thyristor/diode and diode/thyristor.

Available with repetitive peak off-state voltage grades from 3kV to 3.6kV and average current rating of 327A at 85 degrees Centigrade case temperature, these versatile modules are constructed using a new bus bar design with more robust construction. The new mechanical design retains an industry standard connection footprint, mounted on an electrically isolated base plate. The internal construction utilizes full pressure contact for maximum performance and reliability. Package outline complies with industry standards and has UL recognition.

Part numbering for the new modules takes the form M##320-##io2. Modules are available in MCC (Dual Thyristor), MCD (Thyristor/Diode) and MDC (Diode/Thyristor) configurations with voltage grades 3kV, 3.2kV, 3.4kV and 3.6kV. For other configurations please consult factory.
