High speed delay and pulse generator for trigger/gate pulsing apps
IXYS Corporation has announced today that its IXYSRF division has released the PDG-3900, an ultra high speed delay and pulse generator.
The intuitive touch screen enabled pulse generator PDG-3900 is developed specifically for high speed, high resolution and low jitter applications such as trigger/gate pulsing, delay, sync & trigger pulsing of integrated systems and lasers including multiple laser configurations as well as timing and laser pumping, femtosecond laser mode locking and delay & synchronization of high speed optics such as shutters, photodetectors and flashes.
The PDG-3900 provides pulse repetition rates up to 100MHz, extremely low jitter and delay resolution adjustability of 1pS.
"The combination of high performance pulse characteristics and our touch screen interface gives the PDG-3900 user the flexibility and ease of operation that will reduce time spent configuring the instrument and allow more time to be spent on applications," said Stephen Krausse, General Manager of DEI.
Four delay channels utilizing standard BNC connectors allow many application and experimentation options. The direct encoder allows users to dynamically change pulse characteristics while the unit is enabled providing the real-time adjustability of an analog signal generator with the precision of a digital instrument. An external trigger channel integrates the PDG-3900 into a wide variety of experimental setups both simple and complex.
Communications via GPIB, Ethernet and RS232 are all standard and easily configured. Remote and local operating modes are visually identified on the front panel by an LED.
