Digi introduces multi-function wireless programmable terminal server

Digi International has introduced multi-function wireless programmable terminal server called ConnectPort LTS with both terminal server and wireless gateway in one device. The ConnectPort LTS provides serial-to-IP connectivity and optional ZigBee wireless communications. The ConnectPort LTS is suggested for utilities, security, building automation, retail, industrial automation, healthcare, data center management and other applications.

"The ConnectPort LTS makes it easier and more cost effective for customers to access their critical device information,"said Larry Kraft, senior vice president of global sales and marketing, Digi International. "Whether its serial-to-IP or wireless communications, the ConnectPort LTS allows customers to connect to and mange their devices with ease."

ConnectPort LTS serial server provides RS-232/422/485 serial-to-Ethernet connectivity and are available in eight, 16 and 32-port options. The wireless version features ZigBee communications, an internal modem and USB 2.0 ports for expandability. All ConnectPort LTS serial servers include dual GB Ethernet, an SD memory slot for data storage and a large LCD screen.

The Linux-based ConnectPort LTS is programmable with Python support and a software development kit. Advanced software features include an IPv4/v6 dual stack, user port sharing, port logging, SSHv2 and SSL.
