PCB mountable 100 and 150 watt AC-DC converters from TDK-Lambda

TDK-Lambda has unveiled the latest addition to its ZWS line of compact PCB mountable 100 and 150 watt AC-DC converters. The new single-output ZWS-BAF series feature low profile of 1.3 to 1.45" and compact footprints of 2.44" x 6.1" or 3" x 6.3", making them an ideal choice for applications in light industrial, LED signage, test & measurement, gaming, point-of-sale and IT equipment.

These new open-frame supplies feature a universal 85-264Vac, 47-63Hz input, with PFC, enabling them to be used anywhere in the world. Plus, they can operate from a 120-370Vdc input. The ZWS-BAF is designed to withstand 3kVac, input-to-output. The series are available with an output voltage of 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V or 48Vdc, all of which have a ±10% adjustment range.

With convection cooling (no fans required) these power supplies provide up to 150-watts of output power. The operating temperature range is from -10°C to +70°C with derating above 50°C to 50% load. The output is floating so it can be used as either a positive or negative polarity.

Optional remote On/Off connections are provided to allow for remote control of the supply. The operating power-saving efficiency is up to 90%. Other standard features include overvoltage and overcurrent protections. The input and output connections mate with standard JST connectors.

The ZWS-BAF series feature global ITE and general purpose safety agency certifications per UL/CSA/EN60950-1, EN50178 (OV II), are CE Marked, meet the conducted and radiated EMI requirements of EN55011/EN55022-B, VCCI-B and FCC Class B, which is much tougher than Class A. These units are RoHS compliant and include a 5-year warranty.
