Agilent's new versions of IO Libraries Suite for PXI

Agilent Technologies has released its IO Libraries Suite 16.0 software. The new release features more instruments and discover-and-connect capabilities for PXI chassis and instruments using Agilent Connection Expert (ACE).IO Libraries Suite 16.0 supports HiSLIP (High-Speed LAN protocol) offering VXI-11 functionality for instrument control at the speed of raw TCP/IP sockets.

"Agilent is committed to providing easy connection to customer-preferred technologies, from VXI, RS-232, USB and LAN to PXI," said Bob Witte, Agilent vice president, Technology Leadership Organization. "This is our sixteenth major revision of the IO Libraries Suite and we continue to enhance the capabilities of the suite, maximizing choice of instruments, and test software efficiency."

The key features of Agilent's IO Libraries Suite includes:
1. Automatically detects and configures the instrument interface connected to the PC.
2. Is compatible with GPIB, USB, LAN, RS-232, VXI, and PXI test instruments.
3. Supports Agilent VEE Pro, MATLAB, Microsoft Visual Studio, NI LabVIEW and others.

An IO Libraries Suite license is included with more than 350 Agilent products.
