24W wall-mount adapter from Phihong for portable equipment and access devices

Phihong has unveiled the newest member of its 24W wall-mount adapter series, the PSA24E-120. This adapter is available in a single 12V output and is compliant with the ENERGY STAR EPS Version 2.0 specifications for external power supplies. The PSA24E-120 meets the European Union's Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC for Energy-related-Products level 2 Annex 1b, the adapter also meets REACH, WEEE and RoHS directives. The PSA24E-120 is suitable for portable equipment, access devices, and peripherals.

"Global expansion of the Phihong brand means designing to exceed energy efficiency expectations, and environmentally responsible manufacturing is critical," said Keith Hopwood, vice president of marketing for Phihong. "Phihong has unveiled a European edition of the low-cost, 24W wall-plug adapter series as the latest effort to meet the needs of our international OEM partners for 'green' products."

The PSA24E-120(P) wall-mount adapter is Class II double-insulated, meeting Class B EMI standards. This device incorporates safety features such as over-current, over-voltage and short-circuit protection. The European adapter also bears CE and TUV safety markings. The release states that the adapter features a minimum average operating efficiency of 82% and a maximum no-load power supply consumption of less than 0.3W, per ENERGY STAR EPS Version 2.0 specifications.

Phihong's PSA24E-120(P) adapters measure 83.5mm x 35mm x 53.5mm and weigh 165 grams, terminated with a standard 2.5mm x 5.5mm DC barrel output connector.
