New magnetic sheets from TDK-EPC

TDK-EPC has unveiled its TDK Flexield family of IRJH3 magnetic sheets. These new sheets can suppress electromagnetic noise radiated by the ICs and flexible printed circuit boards of electronic devices.

These IRJH3 magnetic sheets used specialized materials technologies of TDK in the development process. These magnetic sheets combine soft magnetic materials and polymer materials and create a magnetic powder. The resulting sheets can attenuate noise at high frequencies from 10 MHz to 3 GHz. They also have a certified flammability rating of UL94V-0. The IRJH3 magnetic sheets exhibits good noise suppression effects, especially at high frequencies from 500 MHz to 2 GHz.

These magnetic sheets are suggested for noise countermeasure applications in mobile electronic devices such as mobile phones, digital still cameras, digital video cameras, and other consumer electronic devices.

Operating temperature range: -40degreeC to +85degreeC

Availability: Mass production is scheduled to begin in October 2010..
