Audioscrambler and sub-audio signaling processor from CML
CML Microcircuits has launched a new Audio Scrambler and Sub-audio Signaling Processor to its family of analog two-way radio ICs name the CMX138A. The CMX138A, an upgrade based on the CMX138 IC. This processor is intended for use in half duplex analog two-way radios or family radio equipment, particularly suited to enhanced MURS, GMRS, PMR446 and FRS designs.
The key features of CMX138A include improved limiter functions, enhanced CTCSS and DCS performance, a new input Automatic Gain Control (AGC) function, in-band tone operation enabled down to 288Hz, and the audio compandor has been improved to enhance the performance of compressed signals. The CMX138A also include an auxiliary ADC channel, auxiliary DAC interface with optional RAMDAC to facilitate transmitter power ramping, Auxiliary system clock output and transmit output for single-point-modulation. The CMX138A also includes a crystal clock generator, with buffered output, to provide a common system clock if required.
Package: 28-pin (E1) TSSOP
