1200MHz to 1700MHz dual downconverting SiGe mixer from Maxim
Maxim has unveiled the MAX19993, a fully integrated, 1200MHz to 1700MHz, dual, downconverting mixer with an on-chip LO switch, buffer, and splitter. It is designed using Maxim's SiGe process,
The key features of MAX19993 are:
1. This device provides two independent downconversion channels, each with a +27dBm (typ) IIP3, 6.4dB (typ) conversion gain, and 9.8dB (typ) noise figure.
2. Maxim says that the MAX19993 offers good 2RF-2LO spurious rejection of 72dBc for an RF level of -10dBm, and 67dBc for a level of -5dBm.
3. This mixer is designed for 1500MHz WCDMA/LTE wireless-infrastructure applications in which high linearity and a low noise figure are critical for enhanced receiver sensitivity and blocker immunity.
4. This mixer integrates two mixer cores, four amplifiers, three baluns, an LO switch, buffer, splitter and dozens of discrete components.
5. It has a conversion gain of 6.4dB conversion gain enables the elimination of a complete IF amplifier stage within the receiver lineup.
6. The 2RF-2LO performance also eases the filtering requirements of close-in harmonics, thus leading to simpler and more cost-effective filter designs.
7. This device reduces mixer solution size by a factor of 2x and the discrete part count by 45%.
Package: compact, 6mm x 6mm, 36-pin TQFN
Price: starts at US$9.96
