3D planar EM simulation software for antenna analysis

AWR Corporation has released the AXIEM 2010 3D planar electromagnetic (EM) simulation software for antenna analysis. This device includes new features and capabilities that are suitable for large, planar, antenna designs such as arrays with many elements. It can solve problems like critical design problems such as scan blindness. This new release has post-processing features such as antenna patterns for linear, circular, and elliptical polarizations, etc., numerous antenna measurements (including gain), as well as current visualization/animations, are now part of the 2010 release.

The key features of AXIEM 2010 are:
1. It can integrate with Microwave Office and Analog Office software.
2. Uses full-wave planar EM solver technology and open-boundary method-of-moments (MoM) approach.
3. Unconstrained capacity exhibited by NLn(N) solver scaling (N is of unknowns).
4. Unconstrained line width versus thickness ratio.
5. Provides robust results from DC to daylight.
6. Uses advanced hybrid meshing technology.
7. Provides mixed element meshing of triangles and rectangles.
8. It is geometrically-aware and optimized.
9. Has true thick metal support.
10. Provides antenna analysis and post-processing.
11. Can obtain patterns for linear, circular, and elliptical polarizations.
12. Provides current visualization.
13. Provides many source/excitations including auto-calibrated internal ports.
14. Enables parametric studies, optimization, and tuning.
15. Provides 3D visualization and animation.
