IXYS and Clare introduce family of 4A dual-channel gate driver ICs

IXYS and Clare has made available the IXD_604 family of 4A dual-channel low-side gate driver ICs. The IXD_604 is a series of high current, low side gate driver ICs to be offered by Clare and is suitable for driving IXYS' power MOSFETs and IGBTs. Each of the two outputs can source and sink 4A of peak current while producing rise and fall times of less than 10ns. The input of each driver is virtually immune to latch-up and its circuitry eliminates cross conduction and current "shoot-through".

Some of the key features of IXD_604 are:
1. Operates at supply voltages from 4.5V to 35V.
2. It exhibits properties such as low propagation delays, and fast and matched rise and fall times. Therefore the IXD_604 is suggested for for high frequency and high power applications.
3. The IXDD604 is a dual non-inverting driver with output enables. The IXDN604 is a dual non-inverting driver, the IXDI604 is a dual inverting driver, and the IXDF604 is a dual with one inverting and one non-inverting driver.

Operating temperature range: -40degC to +125degC.

Package: a standard 8-pin DIP, an 8-lead SOIC, a thermally enhanced 8-lead SOIC with an exposed grounded metal back, and an 8-lead DFN package.
