Pulse has introduced its W4120 Series of multi-band active GPS antennas. This antenna features a low-profile housing that complies with Ingress Protection 67. This GPS antenna provides accurate location-based information that can be communicated back to the tracking location via commonly used wireless frequencies around the world, enabling fleet management, pay-as-you-drive insurance, navigation, locating, and other telematics applications.
The key features of the W4120 series antennas are:
1. Operates over 5 frequency bands 824 to 894 MHz, 880 to 960 MHz, 1710 to 1880 MHz, 1850 to 1990 MHz, and 1920 to 2170 MHz plus GPS.
2. The amplifier input voltage of 3 or 5 volts DC provides 26dBic of gain and compatibility with most commercially available receivers.
3. It comes in a compact 136x38x14mm package with separate double-sided tape.
"As telematics are increasingly used in commercial and industrial as well as consumer electronics applications, demand for compact, high-performance multi-band antennas that also provide GPS capabilities continues to grow," said Beatrice Colbeau, Pulse wireless device product manager.
