New OCXO from CTS for telecom network applications

CTS has made available the new model 119 high precision, surface mount, SC (Stress Compensated) oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO). This oscillator according to CTS offers good frequency stability and low jitter performance and has been recommended by semiconductor companies for use with timing IC's for Timing over Packet applications such as IEEE 1588 Synchronous Ethernet.

The IEEE 1588 Synchronous Ethernet is the next generation of timing and synchronization of the telecom network, both for wireless and for wireline applications. It supports wide bandwidth services through the use of Synchronous Ethernet timing and provides the high stability and frequency accuracy requirements of Stratum 3E standards. This new OCXO can be used with timing and synchronization integrated circuits.
