Reset timers with time select pin from Fairchild for Smartphone applications

Fairchild has unveiled the FT8010, custom reset timer with a configurable time select pin. It is suggested for cell phone and Smartphone designers who need a solution to reset the hardware when the device locks up without having to remove the battery. The FT8010 enables a portable device to be reset at the touch of designated keypad function.

Some of the key features of the FT8010 are:
1. It is an adjustable chip solution that offers 7.5 and 11.5 second reset options. This long delay period helps avoid unintended resets caused by accidental key presses.
2. The device has two identical reset inputs for single or dual button resetting capability.
3. It also features two outputs:
1. a push-pull output with 0.5mA drive.
2. an open-drain output with 0.5mA pull-down drive.
4. Operates over power supply voltage range of 2V to 5V.
