New TVS diodes from NXP offer power rating of 600W

NXP has extended its Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diodes portfolio by 35 new products housed in its 2-lead FlatPower package SOD128 (3.8 x 2.5 x 1 mm). These TVS diodes from NXP offer a pulse power rating of 600W peak (10/1000µs) in a small plastic SMD package.

The main features of these new TVS diodes are:
1. It is designed to protect sensitive components against transient voltages in various electronic applications such as power management units and telecommunication circuits.
2. Qualified with the AEC-Q101 standard and thus the new FlatPower TVS devices can be used for all automotive and industrial applications.
3. Has a low leakage current of 1nA (typical).
4. The new PTVS series offers low energy consumption and facilitates its use in battery powered mobile applications.
5. Has a low height and small outline.

The new 600W product family PTVSP1UP offers 35 stand-off voltages from 3.3V to 64V. It extends NXP's 400W TVS product family PTVSS1UR that is housed in the FlatPower package SOD123W with an outline of 2.6 x 1.7 x 1.0 mm.
