New 3-channel power management device from TI
Texas Instruments has introduced the TPS657051, a small power management device. It supports portable consumer electronics and is suggested for space-limited applications, such as webcams or heat- or noise-sensitive embedded camera modules.
The key features of TPS657051 are:
--Consists of two 400-mA step-down converters.
--Can deliver up to 92 percent efficiency.
--Operates at a input voltage range of 3.3-V to 6-V for DC/DC converters.
--Has a fixed operating frequency of 2.25-MHz.
--It performs automatic PFM/PWM operation.
--It operates in the power Save Mode at light-load current.
--In PWM mode the output voltage accuracy is +/-1.5 percent.
--It also features a general-purpose 200-mA LDO with 1.7-V to 6.0-V input voltage.
--It features a 100% duty cycle for a low dropout.
--It can perform 180 degrees out-of-phase operation
