Toshiba’s 3.2 and 2.0 Mega-pixel image sensors with built in image processor

Toshiba added 3.2 and 2.0 Mega-pixel image sensors to it’s family of Dynastron CMOS image sensors. These SOCs integrate image processors. The pixel pitches are down to 2.2 microns from previous 2.7 microns.

The ET8EE6-AS, 3.2 Megapixel modules, offers a frame rate of 15-frames per second (fps) in QXGA output, and 30fps in 3-to-1 vertical pixel binning. ET8EF2-AS, 2.0 Megapixel module offers 15fps in UXGA output, and 30fps in VGA output.

Both can do few essential picture processing functions and other advance camera functions.
