NXP Semiconductor launched 32 bit, ARM 7 based microcontroller with twin high-speed bus
LPC2300 and LPC2400 have a pair of ARM high speed buses to simultaneously communicate with peripherals such as Ethernet, USB On-The-Go (OTG), USB Host, CAN, SDRAM and on-chip Flash. Aimed at applications where simultaneous communication to many interfaces required at high bandwidth.
These chips integrates,
Ethernet
Two CAN controllers
Four UARTs,
SPI, SSP, I²C and I2S buses
Real-time clock (RTC) with 2KB of battery back-up SRAM
ADC/DAC
SD/MMC Card interface
USB OTG integrated with two-port host capability
External interfaces to SDRAM and NOR Flash
Availability: LPC2300 available now, LPC2400 in Nov. 2006.
