Microchip’s new 8-bit Microcontroller has built in Ethernet Controller for remote communication applications

The new 10 MIPS PIC18F97J60 family of microcontrollers are integrated with 10 BASE-T Ethernet controller. This allows the designer to remotely monitor and communicate embedded systems through LAN and internet.
The applications targeted are remote controlling of industrial systems, Safety system, Home and office appliances etc..

Migration from existing PIC18 designs to this new Ethernet enabled device is made easier by providing free TCP/IP software stack and PIC18F97J60 PICDEM.net™ 2 Development Board.
IEEE802.3 compliant
8K Bytes of Ethernet buffer for temporary storage of data packets.
128 K bytes of flash and 4 Kbytes of SRAM.
