Sierra Wireless adds embedded intelligence feature in mobile gateways and routers

Sierra Wireless has made available its embedded intelligence platform ALEOS in its MP line of in-vehicle mobile routers. With this addition, the MP product line and all AirLink gateways and routers from Sierra Wireless will share a common firmware platform. The added feature in this version 4.0 is embedded ACEmanager, the new browser based configuration and management utility in the ACEware remote management suite.

AirLink MP product line are designed for harsh automotive environment and are rugged in performance.
Used mainly for in-vehicle communication gateways, these devices are designed for mobile and machine to machine (M2M) applications involving law enforcement, fire and rescue, and emergency field services organizations.
