Mobile digital TV transmission analyzer tool supporting ISDB-T, J.83/B and ATSC standards

The R&S ETL TV analyzer from Rohde & Schwarz is now supporting the North American ATSC Mobile DTV standard, the US J.83/B cable standard, and the Japanese ISDB-T standard. With this added feature, R&S ETL is now a multistandard, all-in-one solution for DTV transmitter users and makers.

Users can perform all the required measurements on TV transmitters or cable headends using this analyzer. The R&S ETL-K220 option for ATSC handles measurements on the RF layer in compliance with the new ATSC Mobile DTV standard. Also the R&S ETL-K221 option can be used to optimize ATSC and ATSC Mobile DTV single-frequency networks. When equipped with two other new options, the R&S ETL also supports the US J.83/B cable standard and the Japanese ISDB-T standard.

Software for automated compliance testing of ATSC transmitters from Rohde & Schwarz is now freely available.
