2MHz 6 Amps capable synchronous DC-DC converter IC

Maxim has launched DC-DC Converter ICs MAX15038/MAX15039 delivering up to 4A and 6A of output current, respectively. Operating from a 500kHz to 2MHz switching frequency these DC/DC converters can be wired with low cost ceramic-capacitor. Both MAX15038/MAX15039 work at efficiency around 94% (at 1MHz) and are suggested as point of load voltage regulators in applications such as telecom, networking, storage, and server equipment.

The key features of this DC/DC converter are,

1. Integrates voltage-error amplifier with a bandwidth of 28MHz
2. Operate from a 2.9V to 5.5V supply, and provide ±1% output-voltage accuracy over line, load, and temperature variations.
3. Offer two 3-state inputs to select one of nine preset outputs, an external reference input for tracking applications, programmable soft-start, and the ability to sink and source current at the output for memory applications.
4. The output voltage can be adjusted with two external resistors.
5. Operating Temp Range: -40°C to +85°C
