Boost type DC/DC converter provide 76V o/p from 2.7V i/p

Maxim Integrated Products new boost type DC-DC converter IC MAX15031 can deliver an output voltage up to 76 Volts at 300 mW of power, by operating from a input voltage of 2.7V to 11V.
This IC packs high-side current monitor with high-speed current limit.
The applications suggested are avalanche photodiode (APD) biasing, PIN biasing, and varactor biasing in fiber modules.

The MAX15031 is a current-mode PWM architecture based DC/DC converter with a fixed switching frequency of 400kHz to produce low-noise output.

Other features include Internal soft-start circuitry to limit the input inrush current during power-up, and a clamp diode to protect the monitor's output from overvoltage conditions.
