1 GHz FET operational-amplifier provides double bandwidth
Analog Devices introduced ADA4817 high-speed field - effect transistor operational amplifier family. Operating to 1 GHz, the ADA4817 is designed for medical diagnostic and portable devices, as well as instrumentation equipment. It provides twice as much bandwidth with half the noise of competing devices. It is designed for applications such as CT, MRI, scope probe and other medical devices.
The ADA4817-1 (single) and ADA4817-2 (dual) FastFET amplifiers are unity-gain stable, voltage feedback amplifiers with FET inputs. These amplifiers were developed with ADI's eXtra Fast Complementary Bipolar process, which allows the amplifiers to achieve the combination of high speed and low noise (4 nV/vHz; 2.5 fA/vHz) as well as high input impedance.
With low noise, low offset voltage (2 mV maximum), 1.5 pF of input capacitance, and 1050-MHz -3 dB bandwidth, the ADA4817-1/ADA4871-2 are ideal for data acquisition front ends as well as wideband transimpedance applications, such as photodiode preamps. A voltage range from 5 V to 10 V gives these FastFET amplifiers the ability to operate on either single or dual supplies. The ADA4817-1/ ADA4817-2 are designed to work in applications, including active filtering and ADC driving.
