IAR System's embedded workbench for Renesas H8 and TI MSP430 family

Embedded RTOS software provider, IAR systems has announced the availability of its tool Embedded workbench for Texas Instrument's MSP430 and Renesas H8 family of microcontrollers.

IAR Embedded Workbench for MSP430 provides support for devices in MSP430 and MSP430X families to generate compact and efficient code. Built-in plugins to various hardware debug systems and RTOSs are included in the standard edition. The key components are,

1. Integrated development environment with project management tools and editor
2. Highly optimizing MSP430 compiler supporting C and C++
3. Configuration files for all MSP430 devices, including MSP430x5xx
4. FET debugger support
5. Run-time libraries
6. Relocating MSP430 assembler
7. Linker and librarian tools
8. C-SPY debugger with MSP430 simulator and support for RTOS-aware debugging on hardware
9. Example projects for MSP430 and code templates

IAR Embedded Workbench for H8 provides support for devices in H8S and H8/300H families. Support for Renesas E8 /E8a & E10A-USB emulators and RTOS-aware debugging are included in standard edition.
