135 Deg C withstanding aerospace/Defense analog and power IC family

Maxim has launched new PR family of rugged, plastic-encapsulated IC family for mobile military and aerospace systems. Designed and fabricated for applications that demand high-temperature performance and enhanced reliability. PR devices are 100% burned-in for 120 hours at +135°C and tri-temp tested at military temperatures. Additionally, for military and aerospace applications, these PR products have the traditional Sn/Pb finish.
"We are in the process of releasing a variety of these enhanced devices that go beyond Maxim's conventional plastic parts," said John O'Boyle, Military Business Manager at Maxim. "Offered in ruggedized SO packages, /PR devices are tailored for applications requiring more than normal reliability with the added benefit of operation at extended temperature ranges.

"These parts meet customer needs for military-grade parts in a more cost-effective offering," continued O'Boyle. "We plan on providing a broad portfolio of devices in this reliable, plastic option."
