Agilent's new USB power sensors with higher-power measurement capabilities

Agilent Technologies launched five new members of U2000 Series of USB-based power sensors. These are suitable to meet high-power measurement capabilities. One of the main features of these sensors is that, they save bench space and simplify fieldwork, as they operate without power meters or external power adapters.

Each of the new five models of the Agilent U2000 Series is optimized for a specific frequency and power range as listed below.

U2000B: optimized for 10 MHz to 18 GHz & -30 dBm to +44 dBm
U2000H: optimized for 10 MHz to 18 GHz & -50 dBm to +30 dBm
U2001B: optimized for 10 MHz to 6 GHz & -30 dBm to +44 dBm
U2001H: optimized for 10 MHz to 6 GHz & -50 dBm to +30 dBm
U2002H: optimized for 50 MHz to 24 GHz & -50 dBm to +30 dBm

Some of the main features of these new series are as follows.

1. All include built-in triggering, which eliminates the need for external triggering modules.
2. Can deliver up to 1,000 readings/sec in buffered mode and include a hi-speed USB 2.0 interface.
3. Have "internal zeroing" capability, which can be performed without disconnecting the sensor from the device under test.
4. Can be connected directly to a PC or can be used with Agilent spectrum and network analyzers.
5. Agilent provides newly updated N1918A power analysis manager software with the device, which gives the user an enhanced user interface and multiple-graph views while doing analysis.
6. Multi-channel measurements can be easily configured and displayed.

This new U2000 series is an ideal solution for bench-top and field applications in wireless infrastructure, electronic components, and aerospace test and maintenance.

Price: starts at $2,603
