New Stereo DAC with DSP function from AKM
Asahi Kasei Microsystems (AKM) has launched AK4373, a new stereo DAC with integrated speaker and headphone amplifiers, designed for portable applications including Bluetooth headphones and personal navigation devices.
Some of the main features of this device are,
The headphone amplifier can be operated in either differential or single ended-mode. This helps to provide high performance in low voltage power supply conditions.
A pseudo cap-less mode is also supported. This feature eliminates the use of large capacitors for AC coupling.
The DSP functions such as HPF/LPF, stereo emphasis, 5-band EQ and ALC are incorporated in this device to provide advanced sound effects.
An analog mixing function enables beep sound inputs and external noise cancellation.
It has a power supply management function permitting ON and OFF control of circuits block by block, controlled via a 3-wire or I2C µP interface.
The operating voltage of the analog core ranges from 2.2V to 3.6V, from 2.2V to 4.0V for the headphone/speaker amplifier, and from 1.6V to 3.6V for the digital interface.
Package: 32-pin QFN
