New Bluetooth development kit from Mindtree for automotive market
Mindtree Ltd, has released a Software Development Kit (SDK) for developing Bluetooth based automotive infotainment and personal navigation devices. With plenty of bluetooth stack vendors in the market, more than the availability of stack and profiles, the automotive embedded developers are facing the issues of selecting the stack with low memory footprint, complete set of bluetooth profiles, and power efficient robust-code. More importantly, the interoperability is also a big issue.
It looks like the Mindtree has addressed most of these issues and provided a platform through this SDK to develop bluetooth interfaces quickly in their designs.
Few key features of this development kit named EtherMind are,
1. Applications can connect to services of the SDK through high- level Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
2. SDK provides options to design customized applications.
3. Provide plug-in interfaces between the application components (such as Media Players) and HMI elements such as Voice Recognition (VR) or Text to Speech (TTS) and the Bluetooth SDK.
4. Supports QNX, Windows CE, ITRON, Linux Embedded-RTOSs.
5. The profiles such as PBAP, OPP, FTP, A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, and SAP to support latest advanced mobile phones features.
Mindtree also offers IP design services along with its good stack of Ips.
