NEC releases two new microcontrollers supporting USB 2.0.

NEC has released two new microcontrollers (MCUs) with the built in function to support USB 2.0. The two new MCUs are V850ES/Jx3-H and V850ESJx3-U with 32-bit V850ES core. This core is RISC CPU with five-stage pipeline and CISC instructions. NEC says, V850ES core can execute 1.9 Dhrystone million instructions per second (MIPS) per megahertz (MHz).
The USB2.0 supports serial transfer of data up to 12 Megabits per sec (MBPS). The applications targeted are, factory automation systems, point-of-sales terminals, medical and testing devices, telecommunications and consumer electronics products and other embedded applications.

The other notable features are, on-chip peripheral functions such as a motor control timer and real-time counter.
