RS485/RS422 Transmitters In TDFN and SOT23 packages

Intersil has announced a new RS485/RS422 Transmitters for the harsh industrial applications. This family has ESD protection of +/-16.5kV and quiescent supply current of 150 micro amps. The specialty of this family is, using a Tx enable pin the IC can be put into low power shutdown mode. These devices have a level translator to match various input voltage levels.
Different data rate options to match the application speed are available.
For low speed of 250 kbps the part numbers are: ISL3293E and ISL3296E. For medium speeds of 500kbps the parts are: ISL3294E and ISL3297E. The high speed ISL3295E and ISL3298E operate up to 20Mbps.
