Cirrus launched single chip audio processor for Blue-ray and HD DVD
As the Blue-ray and HD DVD hitting high in the market, Cirrus Logic has given this market a new single chip audio processor saving the manufacturers from using separate DSP chip and additional ICs. The CS49700 offers basic and advanced audio algorithms such as Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby Pro Logic IIx, DTS 96/24, Neo:6, MPEG, AAC, SRS Circle Surround II, Dolby Headphone, Dolby Virtual Speaker, SRS Tru-Surround XT and THX Ultra2, which are built into the IC's on-chip ROM.
The 32 bit processor of 300 mips processing power has advanced Phase Locked Loop (PLL) to generate system clock source for high bit rate processing exceeding 24 Mbps.
The CS49700 supports for HDMI 1.3 interface, the latest standard for sending audio and video signals to various home theater equipments.
