Samsung announces mass production of 256 channel display driver for plasmas

Samsung to mass produce it's new 256 channel display driver IC for plasma display TVs. The new display driver IC is a low power device and saves cost by reducing number of display driver ICs for panel. Plasma TV with this new device can save 35% of power over conventional Plasma TVs.

With the market booming for Plasma and LCD TVs, this power saving display driver will be handy for design engineer to add extra feature to his product to boost sales.
