Panasonic further improves the light efficiency of white LED

Panasonic has improved the light efficiency of white and blue LEDs by 1.5 times by using GaN as the substrate. GaN has high thermal and electrical conductivity to withstand high currents for high-brightness LEDs. Such continued research in improving the brightness of LEDs will finally lead to mass use of LED based lights in homes and offices.
These new LEDs produce a total radiation of 355mW at a forward current of 350 mA with external quantum efficiency of 38%. The release also says minimum color variation.
The product is available in three variations

1. LNJ090W3GRA - Small in size and for lighting applications
2. LNJ0H0V8KRA - with a reflector for flash lights
3. LNJ0Y0F9KRA - Pointing light source
