Zarlink's new firmware ZLS38502 is programmed for their own ZL38004 hardware platform. With this readymade voice processing solutions for speaker phones, the development effort is less and simple. This firmware offers full duplex operation. Reduction of pyschoacoustic noise generated due to poor plastic enclosure design is achieved without disturbing the original audio. 16/22 band equalizer feature is integrated in this firmware in compliance to industry standards governing frequency response of speakers and microphones. This firmware solution tracks audio source movements and adopts to changing echo path. Zarlink supports qualified developers with full range of resources such as evaluations boards, tool kits, and reference designs.
