New 8 bit microcontroller with LCD Controller from NEC
NEC Electronics brings to the market a new 8 bit microcontroller (MCU) with built-in LCD controller/driver. This is very required feature. The MCU code numbered as 78K0/Lx3, is exclusively made for simple applications with LCD readouts.
The technical specification and features on this chip are,
ˇ 16-bit A/D converter
ˇ Low power consumption during standby of only 2.3 microamperes (ľA).
ˇ A total of 8 signal ports, enough to drive 288 display segments.
ˇ Available in 76 configurations, with 8 kilobytes (KB) to 60 KB of embedded flash memory, in pin counts ranging from 48 to 80.
This series is improved version of NEC 's 78K0/Lx2 series. If you are already using 78K0/Lx2 series, you can improve the performance of your system with less effort by upgrading to 78K0/Lx3.
