Aeroflex has launched new GPS based mobile handset test platform.
Based on its popular 6103 AIME/CT mobile handset test system, Aeroflex has released to market a new mobile handset test system to test A-GPS (Assisted-Global Positioning System) enabled mobile handsets. This test setup is aimed at providing design support for the complete life cycle of A-GPS devices from initial R&D to Conformance tests.
The simulator of this test platform emulates 24 satellite GPS constellation and enables high performance modeling of all associated GPS satellite and vehicle effects. A-GPS test platform supports MS-Based, MS-Assisted and conventional GPS.
You can analyze the test unit for pseudo-range and latitude and longitude location response.
The other key features are,
Support of RRLP messaging allows simulation of the standard A-GPS call flow location requests for the control plane
Provides the ability to support TCP/IP and the SUPL (Secure User Plane).
RF minimum performance testing of the GPS receiver.
Example test scripts allow access to each layer of the protocol structure.
