3.2-W noise-filter integrated Class-D audio power amplifier IC for music portables

Texas Instruments has introduced the TPA2011D1, a new 3.2-W, mono Class-D audio power amplifier IC with an integrated digital-to-analog converter (DAC) noise filter that reduces codec noise by 82 percent for clearer sound. The TPA2011D1 power amplifier IC is suitable for the applications such as wireless or mobile phone handsets, PDAs, Portable navigation devices, and general portable audio devices.

The key features of the TPA2011D1 power amplifier IC are,

3.2-W into 4 Ohms at 5 V produces 22 percent louder audio with no audible pop
95% efficiency, 86-dB PSRR, 1.5 mA quiescent current and improved RF immunity
Integrated feedback resistor of 300 kOhm
Low output noise of 20 µV
Auto recovering short-circuit protection
Thermal overload protection

The TPA2011D1's integrated image reject filter provides a low-pass cutoff frequency of 130 kHz, which could eliminate the need for an external filter on the inputs for lower component count and cost.

Package: 1.2-mm x 1.2-mm, 0.4-mm pitch, 9-ball WCSP package
