High-voltage, high-side MOSFET driver for HB LED driver and DC-DC converter apps

Maxim has introduced the MAX15054, a new high-side n-channel MOSFET driver controlled by a CMOS logic-level signal referenced to ground and features a short (12ns, typ) propagation delay from input to output. The high-voltage operation and high source/sink-current capability make the MAX15054 driver suitable for HB LED drivers and DC-DC converters.

The MAX15054 driver allows the implementation of buck and single-inductor buck-boost topologies with the output referenced to ground in single string and multistring LED drivers.

The key features of the MAX15054 MOSFET driver are,

Input voltage up to 60V
Up to 13.5V logic input independent of supply voltage
2A of peak source and sink current
12ns of propagation delay
Rise and fall times of 6ns while driving 1000pF capacitance
Low input capacitance
Low-side and high-side undervoltage protection

The MAX15054 driver is also suitable for full- and half-bridge and two-switch forward converters in datacom, telecom, and server applications.

Operating temperature range: -40°C to +125°C
