Automotive gate drive optocoupler from Avago for hybrid electric vehicles

Avago has introduced the ACPL-36JV, a new 2.5 Amp compact automotive grade optocoupler with integrated desaturation detection and fault status feedback for use in hybrid electronic vehicles. The suggested applications for the ACPL-36JV optocoupler are isolated IGBT/power MOSFET gate drives, industrial inverters, AC and brushless DC motor drives, and uninterruptable power supplies.
