Level shifting scan-drivers from Maxim for LCD HDTVs

Maxim has introduced the MAX17120/MAX17121, a new triple/dual, high-voltage, level-shifting scan drivers for TFT panels with integrated gate logic. These devices are suitable for LCD HDTV's, LCD monitor and Small TV panels, notebook computer displays.

These devices minimize panel cost in LCD TVs by integrating all logic required to implement a high-performance scan-driver system. Each scan driver has two channels that switch complementarily. Their outputs swing from +40V to -30V and can swiftly drive capacitive loads.

In order to save power, these complementary outputs share the charge of their capacitive load before they change states.
