1 Amp rated linear mode, constant-current LED driver from Diodes for lighting apps

New 1 Amp rated linear mode, constant-current LED driver from Diodes to reduce the size and cost of general illumination products such as flashlights and lighting in emergency, garden and poolside applications.

By integrating a unique 'base accessible pre-biased transistor', the DLD101 has been able to incorporate biasing resistors on chip, the LED current setting is now set via a single external resistor without the need for an additional boost transistor. For the pass element, a high drain current 60V N-channel MOSFET has been used instead of a bipolar transistor to reduce the overall bias current.

DLD101 reduce the PCB size and the external component count of alternative LED driver solutions, and also removes the EMI signature associated with switching regulator solutions.

Diodes says, the DLD101 package's high thermal efficiency also assures high power dissipation than comparable SOT23 ICs.

Package: Small footprint, low profile DFN package
