New PAT Series of automotive thin film chip resistors from Vishay
Vishay has introduced the new PAT series of AEC-Q200-qualified precision automotive thin film chip resistors with an ESD rating of 2 kV, which are designed to meet new automotive industry requirements for temperature and humidity, while offering consistent repeatability and stable performance. These new resistors are optimized for hybrid/electronic controls, energy management, measurement, sensor scales, and stable fixed resistors applications in automotive electronics.
The key features of the PAT series resistors are,
Low standard TCR of ± 25 ppm/°C and laser-trimmed tolerances down to ± 0.1 %
Tantalum nitride resistor film on a high-purity alumina substrate, the PAT resistors offer stable film and performance characteristics of 1000 ppm at + 70 °C for 10,000 hours
Offers a resistance range from 10 Ohm to 3 MOhm
Low noise of < - 30 dB, low voltage coefficients of < 0.1 ppm/V, and load-life stability of < 0.05 % at 1000 hours at + 70 °C
Power ratings for the series range from 50 mW to 1 W and voltage ratings are from 75 V to 200 V
The PAT devices are resistant to moisture at + 85 °C, 85 % relative humidity, and 10 % rated power per MIL-STD-202, method 202. Available with lead (Pb)-free or lead terminations, the resistors are compliant with RoHS directive 2002/95/EC. The devices undergo a 100 % visual inspection per MIL-PRF-55342.
