Integrated NV memory, gamma-correction reference systems with MTP memory
Maxim has introduced the MAX9672/MAX9673/MAX9674, a new 10-bit gamma-correction reference systems with integrated MTP (multiple-time programmable) memory and minimizes the cost, by eliminating multiple discrete components including a digital variable resistor, VCOM amplifier, gamma buffers, resistor strings, and a high-voltage linear regulator. These high integrated systems are suitable for TFT-LCD applications.
The key features of the reference systems are,
DAC Reference Input
VCOM Driver
Programmable VCOM Limits
200mA Peak Current on Gamma Channels
600mA Peak Current on VCOM Channel
Analog supply voltage range extends from 9V to 20V
Digital supply voltage range extends from 2.7V to 3.6V
Maxim's MTP technology enables the integration of NV (nonvolatile) memory with high-performance amplifiers so gamma and VCOM registers are stored on the chip. Each system supports up to 100 rewrite operations of gamma and VCOM values, thus eliminating the need for external EEPROM. With 12 (MAX9672), 14 (MAX9673), or 16 (MAX9674) programmable gamma-correction outputs and one voltage reference for VCOM adjustment.
