Winbond's new embedded controllers for laptops with SPI flash interface and Infrared ports

Winbond's new WPC8769 and WPC8768 integrate SPI flash interface, MCE-compliant Consumer Infrared (CIR), and Fast Infrared ports (FIR).
These embedded controllers are exclusively made for mobile platforms such as laptops. Both feature keyboard and mouse controller functions. The other key features are, High resolution analog-to-digital (ADC) and digital-to-analog (DAC), watchdog timer, fan monitoring timer, PWM modules, General-Purpose I/O (GPIOs) and UART. The SMBus interfaces, and PS/2 interfaces are provided. It also supports anti-shock systems.
