300mA triple LDO regulator for multiple cell or Lithium battery powered devices

Austriamicrosystems has expanded its LDO regulator portfolio with the introduction of AS1355 triple LDO, which is capable of delivering up to 300mA at its regulated outputs. The AS1355 triple LDO is suitable for DC-DC regulation, multiple cell or Lithium battery powered devices, mobile phones, PDAs, MP3 players and for distributed power circuits.

The AS1355's regulation performance is high even under low dropout conditions, when the power transistor has to operate in linear mode. The low-noise performance allows direct connection of noise sensitive circuits without additional filtering networks.

Stability is guaranteed with ceramic output capacitors of only 1µF. The low equivalent series resistance (ESR) of these capacitors ensures low output impedance at high frequencies.
